Electrolysis

Permanently remove those pesky white or gray "whiskers" on the face, that thick coarse hair on the ears or around the nipples!

Electrolysis is the only form of hair removal considered permanent by the FDA. It involves inserting a fine probe along the hair shaft to the base of a follicle and delivering an electrical current to remove one hair at a time; and is therefore not indicated for large surface areas where laser hair removal is preferred. Electrolysis was first performed in 1875. There are 3 forms of electrolysis. Galvanic electrolysis uses only direct current (DC). Thermolysis uses an alternating current (AC). And the blend method uses both (AC/DC). Lamprobe is a non invasive radio, high frequency technology used to remove unwanted hair that laser cannot, with great efficacy. Pretreatment anesthesia is required, you will need to arrive 15-30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you do not arrive early, you will reduce your scheduled treatment time and thereby reducing the amount of hair treated.

Medical Marijuana/Cannabis Assessments

Let us help you apply for the NM Medical Cannabis Program.

There are few subjects that can stir up stronger emotions among doctors, scientists, researchers, policy makers, and the public than medical marijuana. Is it safe? Should it be legal? Decriminalized? Has its effectiveness been proven? What conditions is it useful for? Is it addictive? How do we keep it out of the hands of teenagers? Is it really the "wonder drug" that people claim it is? Is medical marijuana just a ploy to legalize marijuana in general?

These are just a few of the excellent questions around this subject, questions that I am going to studiously avoid because in my experience, patients find it very useful and this is a discussion to be had between you and with your doctor. Our role is only to help facilitate the process of evaluation by the state of NM, who issues the license/cards.

Marijuana is currently legal, on the state level, in 29 states, and in Washington, DC. It is still illegal from the federal government’s perspective. About 85% of Americans support legalizing medical marijuana, and it is estimated that at least several million Americans currently use it.
